St. Patrick's Day

(A quick post while doing a presentation Power Point slides for tomorrow)

St. Patrick's Day was such a big zero to me until a group of my classmates presented a topic about this event in class past few weeks. I roughly understand that it is a purely Christian festival that is commonly celebrated in Ireland (and not anymore in Ireland only nowadays). There are people wearing green, symbols of shamrocks, music bands walking on massive streets and parties. There are also many parades to be held all around the world, for the same festival, the same joy and the same blessings.

Well, I'm not very sure about the details of this festival actually, but it sounds so fun (just like what I like about the Oktoberfest)! What about you? If you have something interesting to share with me about the St. Patrick's Day, welcome to leave some comments!

Now, before you leave a comment, I would like to share an up-coming interesting event which is in conjunction with St. Patrick's Day; not only the Europeans or westerners, we, people in Malaysia will have the opportunities to celebrate this great festival!

Connor’s Stout will be having a special celebration at FIVE venues in Klang Valley. There will be a bunch of activities lined up throughout the night to keep the party going. As the celebration is associated with green, come(wear) in GREEN and be rewarded with a complimentary half-pint of Connor's stout (while stocks last)! There is more to pump up with the night as 5 Canon Digital Ixus 120IS cameras are up for grabbed (one to be given away at each venue) for the 'Best Pose with a Connor's Pint’ OR 'Highest Photo Submission' of the night (T&C apply)! There will also be special Irish dishes/menu for the night.

Besides, from now until 31st March 2010, for every purchase of 2 pints of Connor's at all participating outlets nationwide, consumers will be given a FREE limited edition “Irish witty” T-shirt which is available in 3 different designs.
An interesting contest will be organized- Exclusive bloggers who blog about the post event (Connor's 17th March event), one camera will walk away with the most interesting post.

p/s: A night event, really doubted that if I could participate. But if I'm bringing my Dad, I guess he will be very happy, as there's his favorite "drink" (I mean beers...^^) But he's getting older and his capability of drinking is reducing, I guess stout is more healthier for him? Ya... Always the smarter choice! ;)
