Mother's Day This Year

Our family had organized a family gathering cum Mother's Day celebration on last Saturday at my home. Well, we seldom had big celebration or gathering (or parties) to be celebrated at my home due to the limited space of my house as it's just a single storey.

Me and my mom had been very busy all day long to clean up everything and prepare for the dinner, and of course my mom was the one who cooked, not me.
We even had Indian and Malay food (as usual la...) as some of my relatives brought some food to fill the dining table full.

Dad helped out in the kitchen too!
He wasn't the best chef, but he was the best 'meat-chopper'! XD
(have to admit, the roasted pork was brilliant but a bit too salty. Nice work, dad!)

Dinner time!

Masterpiece of Uncle G, Spicy Potato Fish Balls originally made of an Indian recipe~
We all love this!

She's no longer our maid, but is considered as one of our family members! =)

Joyce, my cousin.

Thanks for cleaning up! =P

Then, after our joyful dinner, we had greetings from Ipoh! I thought we should had connected with Tarina in Moscow too, but we didn't!

Benny was holding his laptop that connected on web cam to Ipoh's home.

Aha! Gotcha naked cousin!

Benny was busy taking the laptop and showing the live view from Ipoh to everyone.

A grandma, daughter and daughter-in-law. They are all great mothers.

My mom. ♥

Speaking of family members, not to forget my gorgeous pet dog, Kei Kei! She was wandering and 'hunting' for something to eat that night!

She sat and waited patiently just hoping someone would give her something to eat.

And here comes the food!

Here, the most important thing that we must not be missed out!
It's drinking time!
Auntie pointed that we (the younger generation) are no longer small girls, we could try drinking occasionally, it's good for us! (and Uncle G joked:" Why are you spoiling them?!"

Auntie brought two bottles of wine (I dunno what type of wine was it, all I know was enjoy!)

I drank a glassful of wine, but I wasn't drunk.
Hey, I'm an 'under-trainer' (the bottle of wine contained only 12% of alcohol OK?)!

Next, the most cheerful moment of the day- cake cutting!

One of my favorite cakes on earth- Peach Cheesecake.

You'll not figure out that this was actually a HOMEMADE.

A self-made cheesecake that contained spoonful of sweetness and LOVE.

Not me of course, it's made by her, Auntie Lily.

I have no idea why we were singing a birthday song that night.
(it ain't anyone's birthday and I was sure we were celebrating Mother's Day)

Without her, without us.

Because of this dinner party (plus lacking of exercising last entire week), I've gain back almost 1.5kg which I had already lost two weeks ago! Now I have to work even more harder to achieve my goal in my diet plan! Delicious temptation is really hard to control!

Anyway, this perfect moment only happens once in a while. It's a satisfying gathering although I gain my weight because of that (partially). We had a wonderful night and I'm always grateful that I have such a warm family.

Needless to say...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
(love your mom always and EVERYDAY would be Mother's Day)
